My adventure started in 1989 in a relatively small town in upstate New York. Unfortunately, my stay in New York was only 4 years before I was moved to Arizona with my parents. I grew up in a great suburb of Phoenix, and had a very blessed childhood.
Fastforward 14 years, and I begin a new chapter in my adventure through life. I began my undergraduate career in August of 2007 at the University of Arizona. During my time at the University of Arizona, I began to bleed red and blue and became very dedicated to my school, work and degree. In December of 2010, I graduated with my B.S.B.A. in Accounting with a minor in mathematics. Some people say high school is the best 4 years of life, but I completely disagree. My time at the UofA was definitely the best 3 and 1/2 years of my life. This is when I met my best friends, spread my wings and was able to grow into the person I am.
In January of 2011, I began my Masters degree at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. For those of you who do not know where Hempstead is, it is located on Long Island- about a 40 minute train ride into Penn Station, NYC. This may have been one of the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences yet. I moved 2500 miles from my parents and my brother, and was in a completely new environment. I quickly fell in love with the area, and am proud of myself for making it this far. I will graduate in December 2011 with my M.S. in Accounting.
As the chapters of my childhood are finally ending, I enter a new one. Starting in January 2012, I will begin my professional career. I will be working the Assurance for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC) in the New York Metro area. While my "home" office will be located in midtown Manhattan, I am sure I will see myself traveling to many different locations throughout the United States, and hopefully the world.
All academic and professional adventures aside, I am a very passionate individual. I love to cook, I love sports, I love to read, and most importantly I love to travel. While I have many goals in life, my favorite thus far ties in my love for sports and travel. As a diehard, and sometimes too obsessed, Arizona Diamondbacks fan, I will attempt to see them play in every Major League Baseball stadium in the United States. That journey has only just begun. I plan to post tales of my cooking adventures and my travels. I'm so happy to have you join me!
