8 days until I step in a classroom for the last time. I will take my last ever school exam (lucky me, I still have the CPA exam to take). 8 days, and I will officially be done. I will be a grown up.
My life has taken a full 180 shift these past few weeks, and I'm so completely excited for where it has gone! The month of October was a month full of worry. I was worried I was not going to get a job, let alone my dream job. I was worried I was not going to be able to get a research topic and paper written by the end of the semester. I was worried I was going to have to go back to Arizona. I didn't sleep in the month of October. All I could think about day in and day out was "I hope to God I get a job."
Well, that all changed November 7th. I had my Super Day for the New York City office of PwC. It was a 6-hour affair, starting with breakfast at 8:30. I had three interviews with three different people, followed by a fabulous lunch. An hour after I left for lunch, as I waited for my train to depart at Penn Station, I received the best call I could have received. I was offered a position, starting January 3, 2012. I immediately freaked out- and I may have wanted to run down the aisle of the train screaming (too bad I didn't that would have been a funny scene).
Anyway, since then, things have been going so well. I know at some point this exciting-ness is going to wear off, and something will go wrong. But, I really cannot be happier. I found a great place to live, that is only 20 minutes door-to-door to my office. I get to stay in my favorite city in the whole wide world. (Okay, I haven't been everywhere, so how can I really know??)
I even developed a topic, created a research study and wrote a 25 page paper a week before my deadline! Once procrastinator Lauren is no more.
I am so excited for what 2012 is about to bring. I start my life, one of my best friends will be moving to the city (directly across CP from me!), and I get to start living my dream! I'm ready to make so many more New York City memories. Like the ones I made last weekend seeing the Rockefeller Tree. The holiday season is such a wonderful time of the year.

And with that, I embark on my final week of schooling. I have two finals, two papers to submit (one already written), and a big move into the city to complete, and then I am home free. I can't believe I'm already done... does time really fly.
